The image above depicts me working in the fume hood. What makes this image significant is that it is a culmination of the many skills I have acquired over the course of this internship. From the first relatively simple tasks of careful, precise pipetting to practicing sterile technique, everything must be done properly to ensure success. Under the hood I have split cells, made sure the cell line is uncontaminated, and administered a successful transfection. These are techniques that I will continue to use throughout my work in the lab.
