Throughout my summer internship, I have been completing my research with the National Center for Institutional Diversity (NCID) at the University of Michigan. This is my first time in Ann Arbor on campus for the summer, and I have to say, I really enjoy the atmosphere here compared to how lively campus is during the school year.
Being on campus during the summer is much more relaxing and mellow compared to stressful times during the school year. I admire the campus community, for there is a good mix of college students as well as families on campus, which brings a home-like feeling, which is something I admire most about my summer experience here. In addition, having more time to balance my research with my social life allows for more opportunities for me to branch out and try new restaurants on campus as well as in the Ypsilanti area.
I am grateful for this experience in Ann Arbor for the summer, and I definitely would return for another summer here on campus.
