Department of Justice, Office for Civil Rights #4

Unfortunately I have not had a chance to post a blog in a few weeks, so in this post I will reflect on my experiences over the past few weeks but not this week, as it is my last, and will reflect on this one in my final blog.

Almost 3 weeks ago, the Program Specialist for the Equal Employment Opportunity Program (EEOP) took a job elsewhere in the DC Government, therefore one of the other interns and I have had to, in essence, help manage the duties that he had as well as our own projects. Because my main assignment so far has been to create a new set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for the EEOP, I had already spent a lot of time with the Program Specialist before he had to leave our team, therefore I have been able to handle the calls and reporting reviewing well so far.

I have learned so much from this internship so far, and truly created a lasting network with my coworkers. I look forward to seeing where the other interns go after this incredible experience.
