Wow I never thought we would have too much information; RNA seq is a technique that does not require us to have genes of interest. Rather, it takes out any RNA (a close cousin of DNA) from the cell and sequences it (hence the name, RNA sequencing). However, because of this nonspecific method, however, we have so much information. It has been a struggle to filter out information that is not useful and useful, and to make a story out of that. We have tried to use pathway analyses, and are hoping for more specific results that way. I am still trying to find out more about each individual gene from reading more.
