Structure in the Lab | #3

Working under someone is always very helpful, especially in a research setting. As a student, I felt like I initially lacked a lot of experience. It was very helpful having a graduate student to work under this way I could clear up the confusion and gain some insight. Also, it was nice to have someone there to push me to do better and challenge me with productive tasks. Everything was going really well but then the graduate student I was working under started her Ph.D program and had to leave our lab. After this moment in time, I was to work independently in the lab. If I had any questions I would have to do some digging on my own. It was kind of frustrating because I felt like if I had a question regarding the experiment, I had no one to ask, which could have resulted in the collection of swayed data.
