We all have many individual identities (personality, hobbies, etc.) and group identities (race/ethnicity, class, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, ability, religious/political affiliations). Please reflect on a part of your identity that you are seeing or feeling in a different light.
I’ve come to notice my hobbies are changing. I’ve always loved working with children, but I never really saw it as something I want to do in my life as a career. Working with Wolverine Pathways made me realize that I really do enjoy working with children. Before, I seen me working with children as a hobby or something that I would do on my spare time, but now I actually want to tailor my career to work around children. My internship also showed me that I enjoy being around older children that are closer to my age. I relate to them more and feel I can help more as a mentor than I could with younger children.
