With only a few weeks left of my internship, I thought I would take some time to reflect on the summer. I have learned a lot of new skills and met many great people. I am interested in going to medical school, and I plan to use some of the skills I have learned through research as I move on. Research has taught me how to work on multiple projects at once. I have learned how to manage my time wisely, and collaborate with many different people. Research has also taught me how to think critically about whatever I am doing. These skills are useful for many jobs, so I recommend that everyone work in a research lab if they have the opportunity. The University of Michigan is widely known for its research so it would be a waste not to get involved.
