Intern Project was a Success! #4

So my project for the Summer, where I invited about 45 college students (majority from U of M) to Quicken Loans, was a complete success! The students started the day at about 10:30am, meeting with various leaders within the Family of Companies connected with Quicken Loans. We broke for lunch at 11:3oam where they continued to meet with executives, specifically Steve Ogden who is the VP of State and Local Government Affairs and Stefan Welch who is the Director of Diversity & Inclusion. The students were amazing as they asked great questions, remained engaged, and showed interest in all of the speakers. After Lunch we all went on a tour of Downtown and visited different buildings that our company occupies. The facility that everyone enjoyed the most was the StockX Authentication Facility, which we had t0 take a shuttle bus to see. When the tour was complete, we all headed back to One Campus Martius s0 the students could prepare to meet with Dan Gilbert. Everyone had the BEST time in that meeting, which ran over 2 hours by the way. The meeting was filled with so many jokes and plenty of laughter, which is why we lost track of time. Again, the students could not have asked better questions. Just a day after the event, students emailed Dan to follow up and to thank him for the opportunity. Many of the students said the event was the highlight of their summer.

It’s excellent that you took this opportunity and poured yourself into and were able to create such a unique and thriving experience for all of the students. It takes a lot of work and dedication to create something like that and execute it so well, so congratulations on totally killing it!
