Child Behavior | #3

Being able to draw in information from my previous psychology courses during this internship has been a great opportunity. Most times, many students never get the chance to utilize their classroom knowledge. We often believe that things we learn in the classroom can’t be used in real life scenarios and I am finding that with this internship, most of my starting knowledge has come from my psychology courses.

Of course, my previous experience with children has also been coming in handy.

Having identities that are similar to the ones held by the children I am working with has also been a plus because it has given me a deeper understanding of what each child could be experiencing. Though it has also brought to light that everyone is impacted by their identities in different ways. No one person is the same and no one child is the same.
