Working at a startup

In my past summers I had worked in many corporate and NGOs but yet I had never worked in a start up before. This summer, thanks to LSA opportunity hub and generous founders, I had the privilege to work at a Healthcare startup, Pangaea Medical, at MATTER in Chicago. After me first day at job I immediately felt the difference between this internship and my past experiences. Unlike cooperates, startups generally have less rules and less guidance, which could be a good thing and a bad thing. On one hand I could enjoy full autonomy of my work time and take coffee break as I want. On other hand I have to deal with more ambiguity of my work and often need to figure out solution by myself. But because I have to deal with ambiguity so often, I had improved my problem solving ability by a lot through out the internship.
