Sadly, tomorrow will be the last day of my internship. There are two cases that will be handled tomorrow and I am excited to just sit and watch trials. I have met wonderful attorneys and judges and have been asked to come back next year and even intern for a judge during the school year if I am able to. I have learned how important it is that people leave the courtroom feeling as though they were represented well despite the outcome of their case. I have also learned that everyone no matter age, race. religion. or previous paths should be treated with fairness, respect and feel as though their integrity is intact. This opportunity has furthered my interest in becoming a defense attorney and now wanting to become a judge that I would want to be before if I was in trouble with the law. I am excited to help justice get served and defend those who cannot defend themselves.
