My internship has finally come to an end, and while I think back on my work at the art gallery, I see how much I’ve developed professionally. I came in to my first intern experience nervous yet excited, and despite the mix of nerves the past few weeks were incredible. I developed a more critical skillset for evaluating art, negotiating plans with large groups, and presenting information in a way for all to better understand. These are some abilities that I hope to take with me going forward and build up in life.
And speaking of going forward, the supportive people at the gallery offered such a nice environment where they taught me so much I would never get outside of the workplace. I’m very looking forward to pursuing further a career in the arts, whether it be a gallery or a museum, and I want to take this determination into graduate school as a carve a path for my future.
